My process started with exploring & researching fast hiking and the necessities of a pant in these conditions. While brainstorming ways to make the gear seamlessly transition from trails to everyday life. By focusing on the items a person wears on their hike: Are they carrying a bag? What are they carrying in their pockets ? etc… Looking at these details help steer my design process…
